A Plain Page
What the plain template looks like with real copy in it.
This page uses the plain page template: the header bar, one centred column, and the footer. It is the template to reach for whenever a page is simply words — a note, a statement, terms, a privacy policy.
How it behaves
The column is capped at a comfortable reading measure rather than running the full width of the screen. Headings, lists, links, quotes and tables are all styled, so anything written in the editor comes out looking deliberate without further work.
Body copy stays left aligned inside the centred column. Centred paragraphs stop being readable after a line or two.
What is editable
- The title, and an optional italic standfirst underneath it
- The body, through the normal editor
- A switch to hide the title where the copy already opens with one
Everything else — the bar, the footer, the contact columns — comes from Site Settings, so it stays consistent across every page at once.
